The pathway to a more organized home is paved with good intentions…
Okay, so I changed the quote slightly to make my point! Sometimes we have good intentions but we never really reach our goals.
Often, when I speak to friends or clients – it can sound a little something like this:
I want to declutter.
I want to be able to make a menu plan.
I want to have a tidy house (that STAYS tidy!)
I want to learn new organizational skills.
But…
Yes, the big but! All these goals but something always seems to be getting in the way. Maybe you didn’t budget for them properly, you ran out of time, or just completely forgot. Thus, nothing gets done.
Sigh :/
I know that feeling. It happens to me from time to time and it can be very frustrating. Also speaking from experience, it isn’t too late to turn a dilemma into a success!
My advice for you is simple and sweet:
All you have to do is a little every day.
Don’t roll your eyes just yet! Hear me out! Even just 15 minutes every day will make a world of difference in your home and life in the long run.
Choose what you want to focus on. You can work on decluttering the clutter drawer, organizing a shelf, or clearing out your pantry.
Maybe your goal is to finally create your perfect capsule closet? Well, set a timer and see how many pieces you can shave your closet down to.
Try it. I dare you!
A statement that I truly believe in is “Perfect is the enemy of good enough.” You 15 minutes (or 10 or 5!) doesn’t have to be perfect. It just needs to get done.
Do you think you can find 15 minutes every day to make a difference in your life? Feeling inspired to tackle the clutter?
