woman holding a clock

Okay this is a bit embarrassing but…

I’m a little bit of a procrastinator.

I always wait until the last minute and that’s not really great for productivity or working from home (or work in general!) I can get a little bit stressed out if I start leaving projects to the last minute.

But I’ll let you in on my little secret…

The trick I use to help me stay focused and on track is using artificial deadlines. I impose artificial deadlines in order to get things done that do not necessarily have a due date.

So, how does it work?

One example would be that I take my laptop off its charger and go somewhere where I am unable to plug in and charge such as my car or cafe. I have created this artificial deadline for myself to get whatever it is to be finished before the battery on my laptop dies.

It helps motivate me and stay on task.

This system is just one of many that I have had to teach myself.

Really!

People often think that since I am a professional organizer that I must be naturally organized. But that’s not the case! I have had to really teach myself and learn about how to organize probably and how to use my time properly.

I’ve been there. The clutter, disorganization, the stress.

That’s one of the reasons why I developed a course called It’s About Time Management. It’s 5 modules long and it goes through actionable steps on how exactly to manage your time better and more efficiently.

And you get to access this course, alongside many other courses for FREE, through a limited time offer on Skill Share.

Yes- you read that right! FREE! Anything in Skillshare premium is FREE for 2 months to try out. So what are you waiting for?

Let me know if you have any questions about the courses and how I can help!

As always, happy organizing!
